Tottenham Hotspur Close Training Ground As Virus Strikes
Preparations for Everton game disrupted...
By Zack Wilson
The Spurs gaffer confirmed after his side's FA Cup win over Bolton Wanderers in midweek that the club's academy squad had been hard hit by the infection, whilst first teamers Wilson Palacios and Vedran Corluka were also feeling ill.
Redknapp held his press conference at White Hart Lane instead of the club's training ground today, with all facilities apart from the training pitches off limits.
"We've closed the training ground," the manager told reporters.
"Everything is off limits. We're just going to train there and that's it."
Spurs later confirmed to Goal.com UK that the measure was purely precautionary, and that Palacios and Corluka had both recovered.
However, with staff and academy players widely affected it was felt best to measures to prevent a wider outbreak.
Everton are the vistors to White Hart Lane on Sunday, kick-off 13:00 GMT.
