Wayne Bridge Could Quit England Over John Terry Affair - Report
Controversy takes another turn...
The tabloid claims that the Manchester City defender will remove himself from the Three Lions setup unless Fabio Capello not only strips Terry of the armband, but chops him from the squad altogether.
The two were close pals during their shared time at Chelsea, but it would appear that there is little to no chance of patching things up after this scandal.
An unnamed source is quoted as saying: “Bridge and Terry were best friends and when he split from Vanessa it was Terry he turned to and poured out his heart to.
“He had absolutely no idea Terry was also consoling Vanessa at the same time and had begun an affair with her.”
Bridge issued a statement via his lawyers on Saturday declaring his wish to make no comment over the unravelling saga, which has taken another sensational twist.
It is being reported that the lady at the centre of the scandal, Vanessa Peroncell, became pregnant with Terry's child last autumn, and that the Stamford Bridge icon arranged a secret abortion.
