Aaron Ramsey Is 'Not Scared To Play' - Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger

The temporary withdrawal of Francesc Fabregas due to a hamstring injury has granted Aaron Ramsey a two-week window to shine in front of an Arsenal manager who, on Wednesday evening, was elated to see one of his burgeoning pupils perform to a high standard.

The Welsh wizard was particularly productive in front of goal as he scored a sublime effort from outside the area that was of his own creation, as well as setting up team-mate Samir Nasri.

"Ramsey was very good," Gunners boss Arsene Wenger beamed on the club's official website following the conclusion of Arsenal's 19th Premier League tie.

"Aaron is a player who can play right-back, left wing, central midfielder. He is an all-rounder," the Frenchman added.

"Cesc is a playmaker," he continued, noting the two players' differences and similarities.

"But what they have in common, when they are on the pitch, is personality to say: 'I'm not scared to play. I'm ready to play the game."

The sidelining of star captain Fabregas, Wenger assured, was to last just two to three more games.

The Spaniard, who has enjoyed a masterful campaign thus far having netted ten times whilst supplementing that goal haul with 15 assists from 20 appearances in all competitions, is due to miss the FA Cup third round tie against West Ham United, as well as the club's game in hand in the league against relegation threatened Bolton Wanderers.

"Let's say the only question mark we have is does Cesc make Everton or not [on January 9]," Wenger confirmed.

"[Theo] Walcott has a ripped muscle [in his side] and about the same, 10 to 12 days."
