Ryan Giggs Wins BBC Wales Accolade
United veteran still young enough to shine...
Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has been voted BBC Cymru Wales Sports Personality of the Year.
The Red Devils veteran beat off competition from cyclist Geraint Thomas and Cardiff Blues rugby star Jamie Roberts in recognition of his 11th Premier League title.
It is the second time that the 36-year-old former Wales international has scooped the award - voted for in a phone poll - having previously won it in 1996.
Giggs is also one of 10 candidates for the main BBC Sports Personality of the Year award, which will be decided on Sunday 13th December.
