Liverpool Can Finish In The Top Four - Rafael Benitez

'Rafa' reckons Champions League spot is a distinct possibility...

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is of the opinion his side will have no trouble finishing in the top four in the Premier League, thereby claiming a spot in the Champions League next season.

The Reds have been hit with an injury crisis and have had a woeful run in recent times, winning only one game from their last ten in all competitions.

"If we play to our level we will be in the top four," said Benitez, according to the Daily Star Sunday.

"When players come back from injury I think we will start winning games."

'Rafa' then went on to shed some light on the club's recent 2-2 draw against Manchester City at Anfield.

"We lost Glen Johnson just before the match through injury, then Daniel Agger, Ryan Babel and Yossi Benayoun were all injured during the game," he said.

"It was a match which was very important to win but the fans and the team kept going.

"You can’t be happy when you draw at home but we showed great character to come back and equalise.

He concluded: "We started badly through injuries. But we were still pushing at the end and I felt we could have won it."
