Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor applauded his team's fight after drawing 2-2 against Liverpool at Anfield.

The Togolese striker broke his scoring drought by drawing City back level after a Martin Skrtel goal in the second half.

A brilliant Stephen Ireland goal followed and put the Citizens ahead but only for moments as Yossi Benayoun put the Reds back level.

Although City continue their run of successive draws, Adebayor is intent on taking away the positives.

Adebayor told Manchester City's official website, "We had a chance to come away from Liverpool with a win, but we just have to concentrate more.

"But we have not lost here, and if it was a choice between no points and one point I would always take one point.

"So we have to look at the positives and we took a point from Liverpool and we fought back after going behind, which was a good thing for us.

"I don't think there's such a thing as a good draw and it's always better to win, but that's football.

"We just have to keep focused now, and once we win again hopefully we can get back on a winning streak."

The former Arsenal front-man is already looking forward to Hull City's visit to Eastlands next weekend.

"We're nearly there. Leading 2-1 at Anfield is not something everyone will do, but we have to believe that we can finish games off, and if we do we can believe that we can finish in the top four.

"That’s what we are fighting for and the boys believe it, so there's no reason why we can't achieve that.”
