Arsenal Wenger: Rotating More Than Three Players Can Bring 'Technical Risks'
Gunners boss warns against large-scale squad rotation.
The Frenchman recently warned against the perils of changing "more than three players" each match-day, and added that bulk-buying in the upcoming transfer window could also inflict a similar "technical risk", as the playing philosphy differs from club to club.
The Sun reports Wenger to have said: "When you change more than three players from game to game you take a technical risk.
"The balance of a team doesn't depend on one player but if you change three it's a grave risk, not only in a game but also in signing players."
Arsenal have been linked with moves for a number of players in January, including Barcelona pair Gai Assulin (The Sun) and Yaya Toure (Daily Star), as well as Wolfsberg's Zvjezdan Misimovic (News of the World).
An aggressive transfer policy, though, is unlikely to be utilised by the astute Arsenal boss.
"You change three players and bring in three or four new faces who do not know your playing philosophy and it can hit your team like the flu.
"Sometimes when the players are extremely intelligent they adapt very quickly and it can also click very quickly.
"But it's rare," concluded Wenger.
