Manchester City Boss Mark Hughes Backs Wayne Bridge To Find His Form

Gap in performances will be Bridge-d, says boss...

EPL: Wayne Bridge, Manchester City v Wigan Athletic (PA)
Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has backed his under-fire defender Wayne Bridge to recover his best form in due course.

The former Chelsea man was subject to harsh criticism following his poor performance against Burnley, and was blamed by critics for all three goals that the Clarets scored in the 3-3 draw at Eastlands.

However, the Citizens' boss recently aired his distaste for the hammering his left-back has taken in the press, insisted that Bridge would soon be his usual, reliable self once more.

"Wayne is an experienced player who has won Premier League titles and been part of teams that have been at the top end,
" said Hughes, according to the Press Association.

"He understands what it is all about.

"
At times, individuals will make decisions that affect the team and sometimes you have to hold your hand up.

"But he will be fine."
