Tottenham Boss Harry Redknapp: Arsenal Won't Win Premier League Title
The last time Redknapp beat Wenger was in 1999...
Ahead of today's north London derby battle with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has claimed that Arsenal will not be among the teams to challenge for the Premier League title.
Redknapp cited the Gunners' lack of experience as the reason central to his beliefs.
"I think Arsenal are potential winners but personally I don't think they will win it, that's only my opinion," Redknapp told The Independent.
"I'm not writing them off, they've got a good chance. But I think the winners will come from Chelsea or Manchester United.
"I don't think it's a soft centre [at Arsenal], I think it's maybe a little bit of a lack of experience still. They're not an experienced team, it's still a young team, a fantastic young team.
"But I just feel Chelsea and United, they have players who have been there and done it all and been the full course in the championship race."
Redknapp is relying on fill-in starters in Peter Crouch and David Bentley in today's derby as he hopes to get only the second win of his coaching career against a a Wenger-coached side.
