I-League division II results

Rangdajied United FC will be making their debut in the I-League during the 2013-14 season. They are the second team to make it to the top tier of Indian football from the region, after Shillong Lajong FC's qualification in 2009-10. The North-East club finished as champions, in this year's I-League division II following their 3-1 win over Mohammedan Sporting Club.

Sporting's Charles Dzisah scored an own goal to give Rangdajied the lead, when the Nigerian diverted a cross from Shin Hojun into the back of his own net, in the fifth minute, before Restom Khriam doubled his side's advantage at the stroke of half-time.

Hojun then scored a goal of his own in the 85th minute after Jerry Zirsangha had pulled one back in the 83rd minute.

Rangdajied United hence rose to the top of the standings with 19 points from 10 matches. The result leaves no hopes of qualifying for the I-League for Kolkata's Bhawanipore FC, who are four points below Mohammedan Sporting, even if they beat Mumbai Tigers FC in the day's other fixture in Bangalore.
