The 59-year-old believes that his team's success does not solely depend on foreigners and local talent is equally competitive...
"Ryuji Sueoka is sick and will not play [against Salgaocar]. He got fever and is on the bed for the last three days," he told Goal.com.
It has to be recalled that the Goan side came into the tournament with only two foreigners, Koko Sakibo being the other besides the Japanese medio.
Former English Premier League striker Rohan Ricketts and Ghanian defender Stephen Offei were unable to make the trip with the team as they had to complete their formalities to play for Dempo.
"I haven't brought them here, but they (Rohan Ricketts and Stephen Offei) are both in Goa now," Colaco further informed.
Despite earlier admitting that he feels sad to lose Ranti Martins, the Dempo manager stressed that he doesn't miss anybody in his team.
"Let me be honest. I don't miss anybody. For me, my team with or without foreigners is good. There is no grumble. I hope my boys go all out [against Salgaocar]," he said.
Having played their group stage matches at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur which was in poor condition, Colaco was relieved to see the Kanchenjunga Stadium in Siliguri. "[The ground is] much, much better."
With regard to facing defending champions Salgaocar FC, he said, "Both the teams are good, both the teams are equal, and both want to win. So let's see what happens. You have to create chances, score and be the winner."
