Prayag United SC may look for a foreign coach - report

The Bengal outfit has not resolved the future of current manager Sanjoy Sen and have shortlisted two Europeans and an African for the job...
Prayag United coach Sanjoy Sen's future hangs in the balance as the club's sources have begun searching for his replacement after the club's poor showing in the Federations Cup. The club is believed to be in the hunt for a foreign coach, according to a report in The Times of India.

Given that the Kolkata side were the most active side in the last transfer window and added a host of star names on their roster, much was expected from Prayag United. However in the Federation Cup, they are yet to register a victory after being defeated by defending champions Salgaocar FC in their opening fixture which was followed by a draw with Pune FC.

The club are also exploring the possibility of hiring a technical director, one who will work above Sanjoy Sen. But whether Sen would agree to such a move remains a doubt.

The clubs hierarchy are expected to meet with the sponsors once the team finishes its commitments in Jamshedpur and returns home. It is believed that they will speak to Sen and get views from the senior players in the squad on the future course of action.
