The youngster, who is coveted by a number of European clubs, insists he is in no rush to leave the Copa Libertadores winners despite Shakhtar Donetsk having a bid accepted
The 20-year-old is expected to complete a move to Europe this summer and has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham during the transfer window.
And while the race for the Brazilian hots up between Shakhtar and Portuguese powerhouse Porto, with the former having had a bid accepted, Bernard insists the financial power of the Urkainian champions will not sway his decision.
"I'm giving myself a deadline to think for some time," Bernard told reporters.
"But money is not everything in life. I want my happiness and if it is to stay somewhere earning less and being happy, I want it."
The Brazil starlet has indicated in the past that he wants to stay in Belo Horizonte, but he admits that the pressure over his future is sometimes difficult to cope with.
"I have made it clear that I want to stay, but as I said, the pressure is very high on all sides," he said. "I have to sleep with that weight. I ask God for direction."
