Adriano Missed Flamengo Training Because Of Hotdogs - Report

A new report in the Brazilian media raises new concerns over the striker's real commitment to the Flamengo cause...

Adriano - Flamengo
According to reports, the former Inter star missed Friday's training session with Flamengo, telling the club he was suffering from diarrhoea.

Flamengo issued a statement late on Friday on their official website saying that club doctor Marcelo Soares had confirmed the player's condition and recommended him to rest until Saturday's league fixture against Vitoria.

However, O GLOBO columnist Ancelmo Gois reports that Adriano was spotted eating with friends at a hot dog vendor in Barra da Tijuca at 6 am on Friday, just four hours before the scheduled training session with Flamengo.

Shortly after, the player called the club, saying he could not train because of diarrhoea.

This is the third time that 'The Emperor' has missed a training session with Flamengo since his return to the club in May.
