Khalifa Grigma and Hammed El Maghabul's goals gave the north Africans a 2-0 victory over Rwanda prior to the start of 2014 World Cup qualifiers that begin in early June
Goals on either side of halftime from Khalifa Grigma and Hammed El Maghabul were enough for Libya to earn a 2-0 friendly win over Rwanda in Hammam Bourguiba, Tunisia, on Wednesday.
Grigma got the opener 38 minutes into the match thanks to a defensive mix-up between Jonas Nahimana and Nirisarike Solomon. In the second half, the Wasps fought back but lacked the final touch to capitalise on their possession.
Marcos Paqueta’s side got a second through El Maghabul five minutes from regular time when following a lobbed pass from Ahmed Saad.
Rwanda are scheduled to face another north African side, Tunisia, in Monastir on Sunday to continue preparations for their 2014 World Cup qualifier against Algeria on June 2 while Libya will face Togo in Lome a day later.
