The San Siro club are yet to register a win in 2014, but the president has promised to try and bring success back to the Italian team, who are currently sat fifth in the Serie A
Inter president Erick Thohir has demanded the team work harder to improve on disappointing and frustrating performances in 2014.
The Nerazzurri have not been crowned Serie A champions since 2010, having drifted from the high level of success of the previous decade which made them one of Italy’s most formidable clubs.
They have looked improved under Walter Mazzarri's stewardship, but a string of poor results and performances have made fans question the side and Thohir sympathises, promising more effort can turn around results.
"As the new president of Inter, I understand and feel the disappointment and frustration of our fans around the world," he told the club’s official website.
"No one is satisfied with our recent performances - but I am a blue-collar president who will always resolve issues by rolling up his sleeves and getting directly involved.
"This is a challenging time for Inter. However, there is no blame within our walls. We must work harder and come together as a team.
"I am confident in our process, and look forward to building the future for Inter together."
Inter currently sit fifth in the Serie A and are 23 points behind league leaders Juventus.
