Jack Stefanowski was disappointed with his team’s performance against India as they went down 2-0 at Kachenjunga Stadium, Siliguri on Tuesday.

“There have been some positives. There are some things that we are working on. We made mistakes defensively which we need to go back and address,” he said.

“It wasn’t the ideal performance. We were trying to work out certain things but it didn’t happen for us today. We made a few of defensive mistakes.”

On being asked if the players were a bit tired going into the game, Stefanowski said, “You could say that, but I don't want to look for excuses and there are some other things that we would have expected, and we would have kept a clean sheet.”

“India have improved since the SAFF Championship. They were well organised and played a good game today. We are happy to get this opportunity to play in India and congratulate them for this result,”
