Sunil Chhetri becomes India's all-time leading scorer

The Bengaluru FC striker has crossed his predecessor, Bhaichung Bhutia's goal tally for India...
Sunil Chhetri became India's all-time top scorer courtesy of his first half strike against Nepal in an international friendly at the Kanchenjanga stadium in Siliguri.

Bhaichung Bhutia had scored 42 international goals in 107 matches, while it took Chhetri just 80 matches to score 43 goals after equalling the Sikkimese sniper's record in the match against Philippines on Friday.

Next on the top scorer list for India are I.M. Vijayan with 40 goals from 79 matches, Shabbir Ali with 23 goals from 72 matches, and P.K. Banerjee with 19 goals from 36 matches.
