Phnom Penh Empire FC Unfazed With Defeats
Two defeats on a trot has not affected Phnom Penh Empire FC one bit as they look to their last game of the season this week with confidence to lift their first ever Cambodia Premier League (CPL) 2008.

Empire, who are already assured of the title after opening up a 13-point lead last week, went down 2-1 to Phuchung Neak before posting a 3-1 loss to Post Tel Club FC. As a result, they are now on 40 points at the top of the CPL with a game still to play – but ten points in front of second-placed Preah Khan Reach FC.
Preah Khan in the meantime strengthened their position on second at the table when they beat Khemara Keila FC 1-0. The solitary strike from Lay Rasmey in the 64th minute was enough to give Preah Khan the three points as they maintained a one-point advantage over third-placed Build Bright United FC. Build Bright’s hope of closing in on the leaders suffered a hiccup when they fell to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Post Tel Club FC – despite taking a 2-0 lead off Sem Bunny in the 26th minute and Onyemerela O. in the 46th minute.
Post Tel Club FC staged a fightback late in the second half to score off Duro A. in the 70th minute, Hok Sitithya in the 85th minute and Ek Vanak in the 92nd minute.
