The Juventus midfielder could be drafted into the starting line-up.....Brazil have received encouraging news ahead of their quarter-final clash with the Netherlands in the World Cup as midfielder Felipe Melo has returned to training.
The Selecao midfielder injured his left ankle against Portugal in the final group match and didn't start against Chile in the last-16 clash.
However, a day before the South Americans are set to meet European heavyweights Netherlands for a place in the semi-finals, it's been revealed that Felipe Melo trained normally with the rest of the squad on Thursday. Brazil coach Dunga closed the last part of the training session to the press but Melo was active in training at the start.
"Felipe Melo is fine, he trained normally," Brazil coach Dunga stated to the press. Elano has a bigger problem. He has to undergo a special treatment and wait for some more time."
It now seems that the 27-year-old will be fit for Friday's match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
