World Cup 2010: Jean Beausejour Believes Brazil & Spain Taught Chile Important Lessons

La Roja building for the future...
Chile midfielder Jean Beausejour admitted that Brazil and Spain taught his side valuable footballing lessons as they crashed out of the World Cup at the first knockout hurdle.

Goals from Juan, Luis Fabiano and Robinho condemned la Roja to a 3-0 defeat against the Selecao in the round of 16 but despite a second consecutive defeat, the 26-year-old midfielder believes it was a good experience for his team looking to the future.

"Things are clearer now for the future. These are teams that have different styles but very important styles. Brazil taught us a lethal brand of football today and Spain showed us an impressive mastery of the ball and showed a level we want to reach, " he told the assembled press after the game.

"It was nice to play these games, which have helped us gain experience and understand that we are on track."
