The coach wants to turn back time and play again...
The South Americans overcame Mexico 3-1 in the Round of 16, with two goals from Carlos Tevez and a single from Gonzago Higuain.
"I would like to put on my jersey and play," Maradona told Ole post-match. "But this is not the 1986 World Cup final.
"We will have to see how the players fare tomorrow, and evaluate them. Some may be tired, others may not, but we will only pick our team based on this."
The tactician was not too pleased with referee Roberto Rossetti, especially as he did not allow star striker Lionel Messi the opportunity to play freely.
"When Messi had the ball, I thought that Rossetti would not let him play. He received some rough treatment, and the referee said nothing.
"I worry more that Messi could have been hurt.
"I want to congratulate my players because they are doing great things. They are using the ball well.
"We did not come here for a vacation, but to win the World Cup. We want to make every Argentinean proud."
Maradona dedicated this win to MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi, who is currently recovering from a broken leg suffered several weeks ago.
"There are two things I want to say: 'People thought I knew nothing about how to be a coach' and 'I dedicate this victory to Valentino Rossi'.
