Inter defender set to miss encounter...Argentina boss Diego Armando Maradona has confirmed that defender Walter Samuel will sit out the upcoming World Cup last-16 match against Mexico.
The Inter defender has been out of action since picking up a thigh injury in Argentina's 4-1 win over South Korea last week.
He had been expected to return to the Albicelestes starting XI against Mexico after missing the last group match against Greece, but Maradona has indicated the 32-year-old is not fit to compete yet.
"Samuel is not feeling well and we cannot risk [using him] now," Maradona said at a press conference.
But Samuel, who will be replaced by Nicolas Burdisso, is not the only doubt for Maradona's side. Juan Sebastian Veron has not been at 100 per cent in the competition and he could be replaced by Maxi Rodriguez, a possibility Maradona did not wish to comment on.
"I will not tell you my starting XI. There are too many Mexicans here," he noted.
