World Cup 2010: Brazilian Fans Expecting To Party The Night Away
Brazil is ready to get their World Cup campaign started, and their fans can't wait...
By Peter Pedroncelli
Goal.com is at Ellis Park Stadium in South Africa on a very cold day in Johannesburg for the Group G match between Brazil and North Korea. Brazil has always been a superpower in world football, and fans follow them wherever they go.
This is the case today, with Brazilian yellow flooding the gates at Ellis Park. Goal.com had a word with some of the supporters to get their ideas and predictions on tonight's match.
Soon after the gates at the stadium opened, Thiago came rushing in with his band of merry Brazilian fans.
"This will certainly be a good start to the World Cup for us (Brazil), and we will win easily against North Korea. I don't think they will trouble us, they are not like South Korea, I don't think. As soon as we win we will go out onto the streets of Johannesburg to celebrate with the South African people," revealed the confident supporter who had travelled for two days straight to get to South Africa.
Sergio from Sao Paulo told Goal.com, "Brazil is going to win this World Cup, no one can stop them. I will be following them for the first four games, and then I will have to enjoy their victories from the Fan Parks. The team knows that we are behind them and we will have seven parties in their honour during the tournament."
The excited youngster holding a replica World Cup trophy supporters item then began jumping up and down and chanting, "Brazil, Brazil!"
Aurelio was specific about his side's chances in the match, giving an exact score. "I think it will be 4-0, no, I know that it will be. There is no team like Brazil and we will beat everyone, especially North Korea."
Brazil have a great deal of support in this match, and they will be keen to get off to a fine three-point start in front of their adoring fans.
