Fans filled the streets around Ellis Park before the Group B encounter, and they had a great deal to say about the effects of the coach on their beloved Super Eagles.

Elias, from Lagos said, “Let me tell you my friend, this game could go either way but the outcome will tell us all we need to know about Lagerback. He will either impress and show that he was the right choice, or fail. I think we can do this.”

Joe was with his girlfriend and brother, and he also mentioned Lagerback. “The coach needs to instil the right tactics and discipline, we have the right players, we just need to make them into a team. Argentina are a tough first test, but now or later does not matter.”

Finally, Ben told Goal.com, “Lagerback is the key, I hope he can take the team where it deserves to be, at the top of African football and among the best in the world.”

It will be interesting to see how the fans feel about Lagerback after this entertaining encounter.
