World Cup 2010: Italy Winger Mauro Camoranesi Faces Chop - Report
Juventus midfielder could be latest to leave...
Italy winger Mauro Camoranesi is the latest player to face Marcello Lippi's World Cup guillotine according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.Heads rolled on Tuesday when the coach dropped Antonio Candreva and Fabio Grosso. And Camoranesi seems likely to be the next to face the chop.
He is considered as extra to plans, and he will be under heavy scrutiny during the Sestriere training camp from now on.
The Juventus man now has a week to convince Lippi into making him a permanent fixture. If he succeeds, then Cagliari's Andrea Cossu is most likely to be ousted.
In defence either Mattia Cassani or Salvatore Bocchetti are the closest to leaving. However, Lippi could take both to South Africa should he exclude Palermo goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.
The coach could have excluded more players, but preferred to use a 10-day window for reflection before handing FIFA his final 23 list on the June 1 deadline.

Camoranesi is ranked 472 in the Castrol Rankings.
