The president of the FIGC (Italian FA), Giancarlo Abete, has said that questions over the Italy coaching job will be answered on June 8 - the day Marcello Lippi and his players fly out for the World Cup in South Africa.
"The departure on June 8 is getting close and we have already said that we will be clear about this [Lippi's future] before we leave," he told Gr Parlamento.
"We will wait until the league comes to a close, and then there will be around 15 days of work to see what the future situation will be.
"The fact remains that we have already decided with Lippi that there will be clarity in relation to la Nazionale before we leave for South Africa."
Lippi will announce his provisional 30-man squad on Tuesday.
