World Cup 2010: Italy Return Non Negotiable For Milan's Alessandro Nesta
Nesta has confirmed he has no interest in playing for Italy...
By Salvatore Landolina
Milan defender Alessandro Nesta has decided to stick with his international retirement, confirming there will be no Italy return.
"Stop with this story. I have already said that I will not go [to the World Cup], full stop," he told the press in Rome as reported by La Repubblica.
There was some hope that both Marcello Lippi and the Italian FA would convince him to have a final adventure, but his latest response appears to have put an end to all debate.
Nesta is facing the possibility of missing the rest of the season with an injury to his right knee.
