Fabio Capello Annoyed By The Scandals Of His England Role Models In Build-Up To Egypt Friendly

England head coach Fabio Capello has admitted that his annoyance by the personal scandals that have left a spotlight on his squad for the wrong reasons, citing the controversies surrounding John Terry and Wayne Bridge in particular.
The Italian tactician is set to name his Three Lions squad for Wednesday’s friendly with Egypt on Saturday, and concedes that it will be hard to focus the attention to the forthcoming fixture when addressing the press.
Speaking to CNN, Capello said: "The next press conference will not be easy to speak about Egypt. A lot of questions will be about John Terry, Wayne Bridge and other things around their private life.
“I am not lucky because I prefer the normal life and to speak about football, not personal lives”
It is widely expected that Capello will remind his players of their off-field responsibilities, and the former Real Madrid boss was quick to reaffirm the roles of his players, and the impact that their actions have on the countries aspiring youngsters.
"The younger children look to these players as an example for life," said Capello.
"For that reason, you have to understand that everything that these players do in their personal lives is an example for the children."
