John Terry Wants Quick Recovery After Missing England's Friendly With Brazil
Chelsea skipper wants to return to action this weekend...
Chelsea and England captain John Terry missed out on England's 1-0 loss to Brazil in Doha through injury, but the defensive stalwart wants to return to action for his club at the weekend.
Terry was hurt in training after blocking a Jermaine Jenas shot and was rested by Fabio Capello as a precaution.
Originally thought to be out for a number of weeks, Terry has proclaimed he could make it back to action this weekend when Chelsea take on Wolves.
Terry told BBC Sport, "Will I be OK for next weekend? Fingers crossed."
Terry's absence left Wayne Rooney in charge of captaining the side.
The Chelsea man's absence also gave Capello the chance to see Joleon Lescott and Matthew Upson partnered in defence.
Terry is intent on leading Chelsea out against Wolves on November 21st.
"It was touch and go. I gave it a go and it just wasn't right," he added.
"I left my leg out and blocked a shot the other day. It clipped my Achilles which is still bit tender.
"We will have to wait and see when I get back in the pool and start doing some work."
