I Wanted Cristiano Ronaldo To Play For Portugal - Bosnia Star Zvjezdan Misimovic
Misimovic has wished 'CR9' a quick recovery from the injury that will keep him out of Portugal's World Cup play-off encounters against Bosnia...
Gifted playmaker Zvjezdan Misimovic has explained that he is disappointed that he will not get the chance to square off against Cristiano Ronaldo over the course of the next week.
Bosnia tackle the Portuguese in a two-legged World Cup play-off encounter, but the Real Madrid ace is missing due to injury. The drawn out saga over the ex-Manchester United man's physical concern will not be allowed to faze the underdogs.
"We couldn't do anything about whether he would play or not, so we didn't really pay too much attention to it. I was kind of hoping that he would play against us," Misimovic told Spox.com.
"Portugal should play with their best team, and that includes Ronaldo. I wish him a speedy recovery.
"Both teams play attacking football and I'm sure that there will be two interesting matches. Portugal have the better individual players and start the tie as favourites. However, we will do our utmost to beat them by putting in a superb team effort."
