LA Galaxy Win Forces David Beckham Out Of England Squad - Report

'Golden Balls' rolls on in play-offs...

David Beckham not be part of the England squad for this weekend's glamour friendly with Brazil, after Los Angeles Galaxy progressed to the MLS Western Conference final.

The Milan-bound midfielder played a vital part in his side's play-off victory over Chivas USA, sending in the killer ball that led to Landon Donavan's decisive penalty in the second leg.

The Galaxy's 3-2 aggregate win means they will battle Houston Dynamo this Friday for a place in the MLS Cup final, where they would face the winners of the Eastern Conference - either Chicago Fire or Real Salt Lake.

The drawback for Beckham is that he is now unavailable for the Three Lions' trip to Qatar, where they will take on Dunga's South American champions on November 14.

However, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star may have been forced to withdraw through injury in any case, as he limped out of LA's win late in the second half with a thigh problem.
