My Dream Is To Coach Italy - Luciano Spalletti

Spalletti's appetite for football management does not seem to have been diminished since departing Roma earlier this season. Indeed, he is ready to tackle one of the most testing jobs in the game...

Luciano Spalletti - Roma (Grazia Neri)
Former Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has stated that he would be ready to fill Marcello Lippi's shoes as coach of Italy.

"Every coach dreams about the national team and I feel ready. I am talking about both a foreign national team and the Italian one," Spalletti told a Federcalcio conference, according to La Repubblica.

Despite his open desire to coach the Azzurri should Lippi leave after the World Cup, the Italian would prefer to work abroad.

"Where is my future? I would prefer a foreign job if I was to make a prediction," concluded the coach.

Spalletti has been linked with Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg, but he preferred to stay quiet when challenged on that front. The coach has been unemployed after leaving Roma earlier this season.
