Joleon Lescott & Paul Robinson Withdraw From England Squad

Duo pull out of Three Lions group for trip east.

England Press Conference: Joleon Lescott (PA)
Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott and Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson have both withdrawn from the England squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifier in the Ukraine.

The pair have been replaced by Bolton Wanderers' Gary Cahill and Birmingham City's Joe Hart.

Lescott picked up a calf problem in City's 1-1 draw at Aston Villa on Monday night, whilst Robinson will return to Ewood Park for treatment on a hip injury.

England's final qualifier is at home to Belarus on October 14. Fabio Capello's men sealed their place at next summer's finals with a 5-1 thrashing of Croatia at Wembley last month.
