I Love How Pablo Aimar Plays - Argentina Star Lionel Messi
The Barcelona superstar is delighted with the return of 'El Payaso'.
Lionel Messi of Barcelona and the Argentine national team showed his enthusiasm with the return of Pablo Aimar to the Argentina squad for the decisive 2010 World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Uruguay next month.
"I always said that I love how he plays and I hope that we can play together so that we can win these two matches," said Messi.
Diego Maradona, the coach of the team, called up Aimar for his good form at Benfica of Portugal this season. Argentina have lacked control and creativity in the midfield during the World Cup qualifiers and will be hoping that Aimar can provide them with this against Peru and Uruguay.
The return of Aimar to the national team after two seasons coincides with that of Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain, who will earn his first official Argentina cap.
Maradona wasn't happy with the performance of his side in Argentina's previous two qualifiers against Brazil and Paraguay and for that reason dropped a number of key players, including Javier Zanetti, Fernando Gago and Maximiliano Rodriguez.
A new look Argentina side is expected to confront both matches, as Los Albicelestes look to gain entry into the World Cup in South Africa.
