The Argentine is looking forward to a special moment for his compatriot and has urged Inter to get back to winning ways against Lazio
The 40-year-old announced earlier this week that he will hang up his boots this summer after 19 years with the Nerazzurri and Palacio has little doubt that the defender's last match at the Giuseppe Meazza will be a special moment.
"Zanetti's farewell against Lazio will be an emotional moment, the last game Pupi will play at San Siro," Palacio told reporters.
"We’re all close to him. It’ll be a celebration for sure."
Palacio has called on Inter to move on from last weekend's derby defeat against AC Milan and get a good result against Lazio in order to keep their Europa League ambitions alive.
"It was a difficult result to forget and we’re still slightly annoyed, but we have to work hard this week to come away with a good result against Lazio and get back to winning ways," he added.
