The goalkeeper insists that his side will not give up on the pursuit of second place, adding that the Partenopei must stamp out poor performances to close the gap on their rivals
Napoli currently sit in third place in the table, nine points behind the Giallorossi and a full 17 behind leaders Juventus, with seven games left to play.
Reina is determined to fight until the end of the season in order to claw back the gap to Rudi Garcia's men, but has called on his side to cut out their inconsistent form.
"We will not give up until the end, we still have a mathematical chance of catching Roma and we will try to do it," said Reina, speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss.
"The difference between our good and bad matches must be reduced. To get closer to Juventus and Roma we need to limit our poor performances.
"But we also need to say that the reason we are so far behind is not because we have been poor but because they have been so good. I congratulate them for that."
The Spaniard went on to further underline how he is enjoying life in Italy, but made it clear he will return to Liverpool in the summer and await a decision over his future.
He added: "The season up until now has been positive, both looking at the stats and at our mentality. We have done very well, we are in the final of the Coppa Italia and our European campaign was good.
"I need to go back to Livepool at the end of the season and then we'll see what happens. I want to give my best until May, then we'll see. I'm happy here, the fans are great and it reminds me of life in Spain.
"Living here is nice but the final decision will be Liverpool's."
