thumbnail Hello,

The 44-year-old admits the Giallorossi have shown "extraordinary" form so far this season and expressed his pride at making Fifa's shortlist for Coach of the Year

Juventus boss Antonio Conte has urged his side to use Roma's record-breaking form as a motivation for the coming weeks.

Rudi Garcia's side recorded an unprecedented 10 victories from their opening 10 matches in Serie A this season, a run of results which sees them sit top of the table with a five-point cushion to nearest challengers Napoli and the Bianconeri.

Conte is full of praise for the Giallorossi's recent form but has called on his own players to use it as an incentive to maintain winning ways over the coming weeks.

"Roma are doing extraordinary things. It's not straightforward to win 10 consecutive games, not even the great sides of the past have managed such an achievement," he told a press conference.

"Last year we were out in front and this time around we’re forced to do the chasing. This needs to serve as a motivation for us."

Conte was named as one of the nominees for Fifa's Coach of the Year award after his side successfully defended the Scudetto last season.

And the 44-year-old believes Juventus president Andrea Agnelli deserves credit for the "courageous choice" to appoint him in 2011 despite his relative inexperience.

"It's immensely satisfying for both myself and the club," Conte said of the nomination. "The president made a courageous choice in hiring a coach who had won two Serie B titles but never previously coached in the top flight.

"I'm honoured to be included in the list of the world's elite 10 coaches and it's a motivation for me to improve even further.

"It's just a starting point for me, I've still got a long way to go. I'd also like to thank my players because it's their achievements that have enabled me to be nominated."
