thumbnail Hello,

The Italy international believes the Bianconeri are on the right track as they look to win a third consecutive Serie A title

Claudio Marchisio feels that Juventus have been unfairly criticised in the opening months of the 2013-14 campaign following their 3-2 league win over AC Milan on Sunday evening.

The reigning champions currently sit third in the table, but Marchisio feels there's no reason for negativity just because they don't lead Serie A seven games into the season.

"I don't think we deserve the criticism. It’s because they’re used to seeing us at the top of the pile," Marchisio told reporters.

"But Roma are currently doing positive things and have the advantage of not playing in Europe. That’s why winning against Milan was all the more important, enabling us to stay in touch with them.

"Finding yourselves behind after 20 seconds doesn’t help, but once again we were capable of reacting strongly, overturning the deficit and clinching three vital points."

Juventus are trailing leaders Roma by two points.
