thumbnail Hello,

The Brazil international is no longer satisfied with a place in the upper half of the table and wants to win trophies in the years to come

Hernanes is determined to win more silverware with Lazio after their Coppa Italia success in 2012-13 and has set his sights on dethroning Juventus as Serie A champions.

The Stadio Olimpico side had to settle for seventh spot in the league table last season, but they are brimming with ambition ahead of the 2013-14 campaign and are keen to challenge for top honours.

"The Coppa Italia success against Roma was one of the highlights of my career. I am at the peak of my professional life now and I want to play for a team that can win trophies," the 28-year-old Brazil midfielder told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I have asked the club to set ambitious goals and president Claudio Lotito wants to challenge for the Scudetto, too. Lazio are already an important club.

"My immediate objectives now are to win the Confederations Cup with Brazil and I then want to beat Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana."

The Italian Supercup is scheduled to take place on August 10 in Beijing.
