Club CEO Adriano Galliani has confirmed he will meet with the Italian coach to discuss where his future lies after the team secured a dramatic return to the Champions LeagueAdriano Galliani has revealed he will sit down with AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri this week to discuss his future.
The Rossoneri secured qualification to next season's Champions League on Sunday with a late resurgence against Siena, as Mario Balotelli and Philippe Mexes struck in the last 10 minutes to win 2-1.
Despite securing a return to Europe's elite after a dismal start to the campaign, Allegri's future has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, and Galliani - though delighted at the club's third-placed finish - has confirmed he will hold talks on Wednesday with the coach.
"I will speak to Allegri on Wednesday," the 68-year-old told Tuttosport.
"I feel so cheerful, on Wednesday I will understand what he [Allegri] wants to do. Along with the president, we will make a decision in the light of what he thinks.
"There is a vast difference between the Champions and Europa League. It's like a team that goes from Serie A to B. For that reason there is a lot of tension between third and fourth place."
