The promising midfielder has stressed that he will only get better over time, and was pleased with the hard-fought win over SampdoriaInter youngster Mateo Kovacic has insisted that he still has room for improvement, arguing that he is not on top of his game just yet.
The 18-year-old joined the Nerazzurri from Dinamo Zagreb in the January transfer window, and has since impressed with a number of encouraging performances.
"I'm happy to be here but I still need to settle in properly and I can do a lot better. I have to keep working hard and trying to improve my game," Kovacic was quoted as saying on the official Inter website.
The Croatia international featured for the full 90 minutes in Inter's 2-0 Serie A win over Sampdoria on Wednesday, and admitted that the Giuseppe Meazza side struggled in midfield.
"It was difficult to take a grip of things in the middle of the park, but we got the three points and that's all that matters."
Inter climbed to fifth spot in the Serie A table thanks to win at the Luigi Ferraris.
