The Argentine defender had nothing but positive words for the former Genoa star, while he also praised Mateo KovacicInter skipper Javier Zanetti has said that team-mate Rodrigo Palacio was "extraordinary" during his side's 2-0 win over Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris.
The Argentine attacker gave the Nerazzurri the lead in the closing stages of the opening period, before putting the match to bed well into second-half stoppage time with his 12th league goal of the season.
"We soaked up a bit of pressure at the start, then afterwards Rodrigo was extraordinary and helped us get these three points," he told Inter Channel.
"What's his secret? His braid... Joking aside, he's a top player and he's showing everyone that."
Zanetti also had words of encouragement for promising youngster Mateo Kovacic, who joined Inter in the January transfer window.
"Kovacic? He did brilliantly."
Inter currently sit seven points of third-placed AC Milan in their bid for a Champions League spot.
