Capello: Cassano does not know the limits of respect
The Russia boss has had his say on the flamboyant attacker's behaviour after he was dropped from the Inter squad for the match versus Catania
Fabio Capello has criticised Inter attacker Antonio Cassano's attitude in the wake of a recent incident between the Italy international and Nerazzurri coach Andrea Stramaccioni.Cassano was dropped from the Inter squad for the 3-2 Serie A win over Catania at the weekend following a quarrel with Stramaccioni in the dressing room after Friday's training session, and Capello believes that the forward's behaviour has hindered him throughout his career.
"Cassano is a good lad. He's very generous and has a lot of talent. However, he does not know the limits of respect," Capello told Rai.
"He has a certain vision on football and that's the only right way for him. He loses the respect of his team-mates because of this.
"He should learn that there are times where you have to accept other people's decisions. It's a real shame because he could achieved a lot more."
Cassano has apologised for Friday's events and is expected to make his comeback against Tottenham in the Europa League on Thursday.
