De Sciglio: AC Milan must beat Lazio

The young defender has underlined the importance of the upcoming Serie A match against the Stadio Olimpico side, and has revealed his ambition to make it to the World Cup
Mattia De Sciglio says AC Milan must beat Lazio if they are to be successful in their quest for third place.

The Rossoneri face stiff competition in the race for the Champions League places, and De Sciglio has insisted that three points are an absolute must on Saturday.

"Apart from Inter there are other teams like Lazio and Fiorentina who can fight for third place," De Sciglio was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"There are still a lot of games to go. We have to stay focused until the end of season and continue our chase even for second place.

"Now we have to win against Lazio."

The young defender then went on to voice his ambition to make it to the 2014 World Cup with Italy.

"My goal is to play in the 2014 World Cup and I have to keep playing well in order to achieve that."

De Sciglio was included in the Azzurri squad for last year's friendly against England, but has yet to make his international debut at senior level.
