Marquinhos: I am not thinking about leaving Roma
The young defender has been linked with a number of big clubs in the past few months, but he is happy to stay at the Stadio Olimpico outfit
Roma defender Marquinhos has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving the Giallorossi any time soon as he is happy with life at his current club. The 18-year-old has developed into a key player at the Serie A side since arriving in Italy from Corinthians in the summer of 2012, and he has been linked with clubs such as Manchester City and Real Madrid in recent months.
Nevertheless, Marquinhos is happy to stay at his current team for now.
"Everything is happening very fast at the moment. I try not to look too far ahead," the centre-back told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"The interest from a number of important clubs? I am not thinking about a transfer. I owe Roma a lot for the chance they gave me."
Marquinhos has a contract with Roma until the summer of 2017.
