Mazzarri calls for 'different attitude' ahead of Viktoria Plzen clash
The coach has promised a new look Partenopei will show renewed commitment in the Europa League tie against their Czech rivals, after dropping points in the title race on Saturday
Napoli trainer Walter Mazzarri hopes a few changes in personnel from the side that drew with Lazio at the weekend will inspire an improved performance in the Europa League clash with Viktoria Plzen on Thursday.Having dropped five points behind Serie A leaders Juventus, Napoli are hoping to return to form against the Czechs.
Mazzarri hopes to see a stronger mentality from the players drafted into the team, insisting the Europa League remains a priority.
"I want to see a different attitude to that shown at the Stadio Olimpico," Mazzarri told reporters.
"We have done well in the league but I want to see a leap in this competition."
Mazzarri admitted that the new recruits added to the squad in January will be fully utilised as the club look to challenge on both domestic and European fronts.
He added: "The squad has been strengthened and so there should be no problem now to rotate three or four players in each game."
