Armero: Napoli can fight for the Scudetto
The new acquisition from Udinese has already made his intentions clear by insisting that the Partenopei should be aiming to win Italy's top flight on a regular basis
Napoli's new on-loan signing Pablo Armero believes the club should be challenging for the Scudetto every season. The Partenopei have started the campaign impressively and find themselves sitting in third place at the half-way mark on 37 points, seven behind leaders Juventus.
Walter Mazzarri's men have attempted to strengthen the squad with the acquisition of Armero, who left Udinese earlier this week, and the delighted Colombian full-back insists this term should not be a one-off for the Neapolitan club.
“This is definitely an important moment in my career,” the 26-year-old told reporters.
“Everyone I have spoken to says this is a great club and I hope to be available to play immediately.
“We can fight for the Scudetto – that has to be the goal every season.”
Armero has joined the Naples outfit on loan, but the club have the option to make the player's transfer permanent at the end of the season.
