Giaccherini: Juventus play the best football in Italy

The 27-year-old believes the Old Lady are on another level to their rivals, and voiced his pleasure with Wednesday's victory
Emanuele Giaccherini says Juventus are the best team in Italy because of their superior brand of football.

The Bianconeri remained unbeaten in Serie A throughout the 2011-12 campaign, while they have yet to lose a league game this term, too, much to the delight of Giaccherini.

"We’re the team that plays the best football in Italy and it’s also a winning formula," Giaccherini was quoted as saying on the Juventus website.

"We’ve won nine and drawn one out of 10 Serie A games. It’s a great run and I really enjoy playing here."

The versatile midfielder then briefly reflected on Wednesday's 2-1 win over Bologna, and feels Juventus fully deserved the full three points.

"We deserved the victory and we’re happy it came. The only regret is the fact that we weren’t able to put the game to bed when we were 1-0 up - anything can happen in these cases.

"We started strongly from the off and fought for every ball. They only had one shot on goal."

Juventus hold a four-point lead over second-placed Inter ahead of this weekend's Derby D'Italia.
