Zanetti: Cambiasso is destined to become a coach
The Nerazzurri skipper believes that his compatriot has the characteristics to become a successful trainer and follow in the footsteps of Diego Simeone
Javier Zanetti is confident that his Inter team-mate Esteban Cambiasso will not say farewell to the footballing world once he ends his active career. The 32-year-old Cambiasso has a contract with Inter until June 2014 but Zanetti's already thinking about his compatriot's future and feels he would be perfect for a coaching role.
"What will Cambiasso do when he hangs up his boots? 'Cuchu' will become a coach for sure. He's already doing that on the pitch," Zanetti stated to Inter Channel.
"Just as it was clear with Cholo [Diego Simeone] that he was cut out for it, so too you can see that Cuchu is a natural."
Simeone started his coaching career at Racing in 2006 and has since worked at clubs such as Estudiantes, River Plate, San Lorenzo and Catania.
He's currently in charge of Atletico Madrid, where he won the Europa League and European Super Cup since his arrival in December 2011.
